Compassionate Care
Looking for knowledgeable assistance in completing Advance Directives?
In need additional support for advanced illness or hospice care?
Unsure how to navigate funeral and cemetery planning?
Wanting to create something meaningful and private?
Searching for a compassionate professional to keep you or a loved one company in their final days?
The National Home Funeral Association defines an End of Life Doula or Death Doula as “…a person who accompanies a dying person and his or her1 family and friends through a spiritually conscious dying process. It offers the opportunity to bring dignity and peace back into the dying process.” (NHFA)
In other words, a Death Doula is a non-medical individual who assists the dying and their family through the end of life transition.
SO, what is the job of the End of Life Doula?
It is to listen to the wishes and concerns of the dying.
To help co-create the desired transition experience.
And to be knowledgeable about the deathcare field.
All while being able to work with hospice and medical individuals, mental health care workers, funeral directors, religious or spiritual professionals, and any other individuals that work to assist the dying and their loved ones.
