Due to recent events, I will be focusing more on defensive and offensive workings, practices, and skills.
One of the most effective ways to cause harm is to wish someone healing.
Seriously Lys, that’s crazy! Healing is always a good thing!
Nope. It’s not. Not if you understand what healing really is. And this is why so many people shy away from healing work, both in themselves and for others.
Let’s look at physical healing. Say you have a deep wound that you haven’t dealt with in a long time. It is infected, causing a fever, but there’s a scab so it looks fine. In order to heal it properly you must remove the scab (pain), you must clean the wound (pain), you might even need to remove any gangrenous or necrotic tissue (pain). Now you have to keep the wound open and clean it constantly so that it can heal properly. That’s a lot of pain and time. During this process you cannot swim, bath, or move in any of the ways you were used to. You literally have to change everything about your life. It disrupts everything until you heal. Even once you’ve healed, the wound will always be there as a reminder of what happened.
Well, the same goes for mental and emotional healing. It hurts, it’s destructive – it’s also very worth it.
So, if someone is moving through this world with unhealed wounds, be they physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual, one of the most powerful workings you can send is to wish them healing.
